Tagged: Photo of myself before age 11

Eva tagged me a while back... I'm trying to catch up on posting as you can see... 3 posts in a day! Hahaha...

So here's me at age...not sure. Definitely less than 11 :)

Dressed as a SIA air stewardess. Every little girl's dream :D This was taken at the opening of Changi Airport's Terminal 2. I would say this is my favourite photo. My auntie even made a cute little photo frame so I can hang this up.

Up till today, my eyes are as squinty :P hehe...

Now I tag:

:D Have fun!

Missha haul!

This is my first huge haul in quite a long while.

Soooo, Missha isn't exactly the most exciting Korean makeup brand here. They've only managed to set up one store at Orchard Central. The store decor isn't pretty enough, unlike Etude House. *Not girly enough for me* But products wise, I'm more fond of Missha.

Since I was on the search for a concealer after the Shu Uemura Nobara Stick broke me out, I headed to Missha in the hope of getting their The Style Concealer. But it was out of stock. :(

I ended up getting one from the M range, which was twice the price of The Style range :( The M finish cover stick had some pearl powder *Really?!* thingy in it, thus the high price. It was a good colour match with acceptable coverage, so I got it anyway. I was desperate perhaps?

And since the male sales assistant, yes, male sales assistant had really great customer service, I decided to get more stuff. *I won't mind buying more if a sales rep actually gives me good service :)*

Stuff I got:
  • Near Skin Extra Renew Cleansing Oil
  • Shadow Brush #5
  • M Finish Cover Stick in #1 Light Beige
  • The Style Metallic Shadow VL02

Packaging kinda reminds me of SKII? Probably the fonts?

Ingredients:

Pretty purple eyeshadow! The shimmers were soooo pretty under the spot light. I just had to get it.

The sales assistant was really generous with the freebies! I got 2 sheet masks, 1 pack of blotting papers, 1 gold loose eyeshadow and 1 eye and lip makeup remover.

I'll probably go back to pick some more stuff up at the end of the month. Looking forward to their matte lipsticks!!!

My first Back2MAC lippie!

Happy Lunar New Year to ya'll!!! Have a wonderful time feasting with your family tonight! :) I'm sooo looking forward to getting those red packets! More makeup money? Hahaha...

Anyways!

I just went to MAC yesterday to exchange 6 empties for a MAC lipstick. I decided to get a nude lippie this time round. I've been obsessed with finding the best nude-pink lipstick after reading Lollipop26's blog! She has amazing style! I recommend you check her beauty blog out! She was the one who inspired me into doing PTP :D

After swatching countless lipsticks and researching on makeupalley before hand, I decided to get Pretty Please Lustre Lipstick.

Isn't it pretty! :D

As described on the MAC website, it is a pale pink pearl! It's out of stock too! Must be a popular choice. It wasn't one of the choices on my list, but I'm glad I got this. Initially, I was hoping to get Myth.

The swatch didn't show up well on my hand, so I won't be posting that up.

I can feel my MAC addiction coming back. I think sooner or later I'll be obsessed with trying to finish up my MAC stuff so I can Back2MAC them. Hahaha... Getting a free lipstick makes me feel *happyhappy*!

Old stash, new loves!!!

After going on PTP, I have rediscovered some lovely products in my stash.

The long forgotten... Origins Quick, Hide! concealer covers my red acne scars perfectly! I shouldn't have wasted $$$ buying Shu Uemura's Nobara Foundation Stick :( That's $68 wasted!!! AND! It broke me out within a day :( Double sob!

I was half way through this tube of concealer when I started to drift away from it. I actually finished a whole tube of it before that... that would have meant something right? Me, finishing a product and repurchasing it! It must have been really good then? Silly me decided to look around and bought a MAC Select Moisture Cover which was in the wrong shade (NW20) and didn't cover scars as well as Origins! ARGH! That's going Back2Mac. :)

On to my next new found love...

MAC Neutral Pink Satin eyeshadow. This was a limited edition from the N collection. What a pretty muted rose colour!!! It sucked as an eyeshadow :( I looked all puffy eyed and tired!

BUT!

It works gorgeous as a blush!!! * I will take swatches of this when the lighting is better, it's really dark in the evening now*

Recently, my cheek area has been breaking out. There are millions *ok, exaggerating here!!* of clogged pores in the hollows of my cheeks. :( And my beautician suspects its my blush which is causing me to suffer. I change blush sooooo often, so I wouldn't know which one was causing me to break out.

So she suggested either totally skipping blush *GASP!* or to use a pink eyeshadow as a blush. I preferred the second suggestion.

Since our eyes are so delicate, eyeshadow would have lesser irritants than a blush I guess? So... I was in search of getting a NEW pink eyeshadow! But I decided to search through my stash before that and I'm glad I did!!!

This baby will probably hit pan too! A great item to add to PTP. :) Along with the concealer of course.

Did you find any new loves from your old stash recently?? :)

Review: Liese Bubble Hair Colour in Chestnut Brown

Here is a review on Liese Bubble Hair Colour in Chestnut Brown. I wanted to try this after reading Kathi's review on her Prettia Bubble Hair Colour. Liese is by Kao as well... and the packaging of the 2 products are similar! Just that they used a different model :)

Here's the contents:

I'm supposed to pour bottle 1 into the bottle 2 then add some moisturizing lotion (in sachet). Screw on the white lid and gently shake. After the mixture is well mixed, tightly screw on the pink nozzle to begin application. By squeezing the middle of the bottle, foam will be dispensed. Massage foam into hair, wait for 20 mins (with your hair twisted up on the top of your head) for colour to develop and then wash off with warm water.

Sounds simple enough!

I usually get my hair colour at my usual salon, but being such a product junkie, I decided to try this new "method" of dying my hair with bubbles. Sounds like fun :)

NOT!

I didn't manage to snap pictures of me dying my hair, because I did it *naked* in the toilet. Haha!

So anyways! Here are my thoughts about the product:

Cons:
  • It wasn't easy to get the product to lather on. It took me about 15 mins to get it to lather.
  • The bubbles did not manage to "hold" my hair in a bun for 20 mins. Unlike in the TV advert. So I used a clip to clip my hair in place.
  • The ammonia smell would seriously knock you out if you didn't do it in a well ventilated area. The worst smell ever.
  • While washing out the dye, my hair got tangled in a HUGE mess. This caused alot of my precious hair to fall off! :( Really. It wasn't a pretty sight. A HUGE bal of hair was lying on my drainage hole after the whole process was done. I had to use 4 pumps of Tsubaki conditioner to un-knot my hair. SOB.
  • I'm into a week of dying my hair now. And the colour is already fading :(
Pros:
  • Beautiful colour. Exactly the same as what was shown on the box.
  • Even application of colour.
  • Cheaper than going to a salon to get my hair dyed.
Well, as you can see, the cons out weighed the pros. So... I'll just stick to my hairstylist to get it done for me. Although it would cost me 3x more the price, I would save 3x more the hair loss and the horrible smell.

Definately not gona repurchase this.
