Review: Beautymaker Aquamarine Hydrating Serum

Here's my review on the Beautymaker Aquamarine Hydrating Serum.

Brand: Beautymaker
Product of: Taiwan
Amount of product: 30ml
Price: Not too sure as it was in Taiwan Yuan
Available at: www.payeasy.com

Instructions:

Apply a pump of this serum after toner. Can be used day & night.

Review:

Pros:
  • It was pretty cheap for a serum
  • Seems to have a few great ingredients? Like.... Cucumber Extract...Placental Protein...
Cons:
  • Too much fragrance!!!
  • Slight itching sensation upon application
  • Isn't moisturizing enough for my dehydrated skin
  • Hard to tell how much is left in the bottle, since the packaging is opaque
  • Doesn't improve my skin in anyway :(
  • I suspect this is giving me tiny clogged pores on the cheek area
So yeah... Disappointing product. I had such high hopes on this, seeing how Fuz raved about this line... But I'm glad I tried it for myself. It killed my curiosity and sort of killed my skin too in the process :( SOB!

Well, lesson learnt, not every product a blogger raves about would suit your skin type. I've tried Paul & Joe, that gave me bumps too! So I guess my skin prefers gentler products. Less rich or creamy.

Final verdict:

I shall go repurchase my Dr. Ci: Labo collagen thingy tomorrow :) I will still continue to use this up, but maybe on my neck area. :p

  2. I hate when I buy face products with high hopes it'll give you amazing skin and then it destroys it in the process!! You're right though, skin products are such a personal item, I'm sorry it gave you a bad reaction :/
