Review: Nature Republic's 101 MD Water + Moisture Coral Powder Mask

As requested by Jessy *Hi Sweetie!!!*, here is my review on Nature Republic's 101 MD Water + Moisture Coral Powder Mask.

This mask comes in a pair. A bottle of MD water and a pack of powder, which is the clay mask.

Brand: Nature Republic
Product of: Korea
Amount of product: From my estimation, 10mLs of MD water and 20g of powder mask
Price: SGD$3.40
Number of applications: ~4 applications
Available at: 313 Orchard Road #B1-24 Somerset 313 Singapore 238895

Instructions:
I forgot to take a photo of how to mix the mask. But it's ok :) I'll probably pick up more of these masks!!! *ahh~ now you know there's gona be a good review on this product*

Review:

Now, although the SA told me it's good for 1 use, I would say that it is crazy for anyone to finish up the whole pack of mask at one go! From my experience, I would say this is good for 4 applications! I mixed all of the powder with the MD water, used it on my bf's face, on my face, and still had half a bottle left! So I screwed the bottle tight and kept the rest for the review. And even then, I had to really pile on the mask so that I can finish using it.

What I would recommend is to actually use a mixing bowl. Pour 1/4 of the water out, mix it with 1/4 of the powder. Keep the rest for later use. DO NOT mix the whole pack at one go! Unless you're gona have a slumber party with the girls haha...

Here's me with my mask on... *hello!* it is still wet...

Leave it on for 15 minutes...

Beware of the mask flaking!! You will start to see cracks forming when it's dried.

Not sure if this is an allergic reaction caused by the mask??? But there's a red spot on my upper lip. Try to avoid applying near the lips and eyes.

Wash with warm water after waiting for 15 minutes. And check it out!! My clogged pores are brought to the surface :D this stuff works!!

One of my old, dried up pimple peeled off upon washing the mask!

Pros:
  • Works great as a purifying mask!
  • Affordable
  • Has no fragrance :)
  • Easy to rinse off
Cons:
  • Slightly drying as with all clay masks (even though this was a moisturizing version)
  • Troublesome to mix
  • Messy when it starts to flake
  • Slight tingling sensation upon application (might be that it's working???)
  • Lots of wastage if you mix it in the bottle (see pic below)
Final verdict:

Repurchase: Yes!

But I will try to mix the mask in a mixing bowl :)

And here's a swatch of the lippie as requested by Sindy:

A pretty beige :D This was really moisturizing even without a lipbalm! When I first got it, I was disappointed that it had a coffee scent to it :( but upon application, the scent wears off pretty quickly! Must get more of these!!! :D Maybe tomorrow hahaha!

Nature Republic Haul

I really have no need to fly to Seoul *except for the weather*. All the famous brands from Korea are here in Singapore! Like finally!!! Now we have The Face Shop, Etude House, Credit Beauty and Nature Republic! *missha is somewhere out there, have yet to find out where their last branch is located at* What a great year for the cosmetics industry! We're finally catching up!

Here's what I got :)
  • Baked Shine Dual Shadow in 06
  • Fresh Essence Aloe & Cucumber sheet mask
  • Eau dS Shine Lipstick in BE601 Pink Beige
  • MD Water 101 and Coral Moist Powder (which is a clay mask)

I would say the prices are really affordable! Especially for their skincare range. They all come with beautiful packaging! I would definitely be buying more of their stuff to try out. Too bad they're just so stingy with their samples! Unlike Etude House! *loves*

And now I leave you with a NOTW (nails of the week) ~

On my nails I have the polish from the Esprique Precious Illuminate Fantasy Collection Christmas Coffret. It's a nice peachy colour with micro shimmers. :) So pretty!

I would probably start a NOTW series. I actually have a whole lot of nail polish stored under my bed! Hahah! Shall put them to good use :D

A collective haul post...

Christmas is coming next friday! And I'm sooooo in a mood to spend my $$$. :x Here are the stuff I got recently :)

Etude House Eyeshadow from the Code:B collection in No.4

It's a really pretty shade of... I don't know how to describe it! Pewter? With shimmers? I really don't know...haha! But anyway! It is pretty!

Texture is smooth, no fall outs. And great pigmentation! I'm currently obsessed with Etude House!

Mask from Dead Sea Premier . I've never tried this brand of skincare before. It seems like skincare from the Dead Sea is all the range now! This is supposed to solve all my clogged pores problems and to remove scars from past acne.

The SA was really knowledgeable! She asked me what I was currently using. I told her I was using glycolic acid for my scars! And she advised me to stop using it as it would thin down my skin in the long run! OMG! :( I didn't know that! She said to use it only once a week and not daily! Oops! No wonder my skin has been sensitive.

The mask contains essential oils! I tried it on yesterday evening and wow! My skin is really moist and smooth after the first application! I hope it would improve my skin condition!

Beautiful packaging! Looks sooooo luxurious! You can see me in the reflection! *Hello!*

Freebies from Etude House! I love these furry pens!

A gift for my classmate :) it sways its head left and right under sunlight as it is solar powered!

Etude House blush from Gugu! :) Thank you beeees!

Pretty lilac pink!

And one more, Too Faced Flat Kabuki! Love it! It's really soft!

That's all I guess? :) Oh! And Gugu got me some Bodyshop stuff too! Have yet to blog about those! I'm lagging behind in my posts!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Testing out St. Clare's Sebum Treatment Set on my Brother!

It took a long time to convince my brother to let me try this mask out on him! And it is soooo worth it!!!

Updated skincare routine

It's been a while since I last updated my skincare routine. So, now that I'm out of my usual cleansers, I've replaced them with new products :D

Morning Routine

1. Dr. Ci: Labo Washing Foam Super Sensitive
2. Simple Toner
3. Niks Vita C Brightening Spray
4. Dr. Ci: Labo Aqua-Collagen-Gel Super Sensitive
5. Niks Gentle Sun Protect SPF50+

Evening Routine

1. Fancl Mild Cleansing Oil
2. Dr. Ci: Labo Cleansing Gel Super Sensitive
3. Simple Toner
4. Ucara Revitalizing Mask ( I usually use a cream mask every evening as my skin is quite dehydrated)
5. Simple Toner
6. Niks Vita C Brightening Spray
7. Niks Aroma Acne Clear Gel

Haha, this looks like an advert for Dr. Ci: Labo, but I just got a couple of their skincare range in a promotional set, so I'm using the cleansers now since I'm done with my old ones :)

I'm almost done with my Dr. Ci: Labo Aqua-Collagen-Gel Super Sensitive! It's been great so far, but now that my skin is a bit dryer at the end of the year, I'll probably switch to a more moisturising version.

I've also been wanting to try their Acneless Line, since I'm breaking out like crazy at the moment :(

Some stuff I'm looking forward to try out in the future...

Ionical EX

From their website:

Deliver beautifying ingredients deep into your skin with ion treatment (introduction).

Weak, positively charged electricity temporarily relaxes your skin's barrier function to enable beautifying ingredients to effectively permeate inside your skin thanks to the process of electrophoresis. In order to better facilitate this, it is recommended that you use "Ionical Lotion" together with Ionical EX. "Ionical Lotion" contains vitamins C* and E (which have high permeability) together with gold ion water that has been combined with nanotechnology in order to tone your skin and enhance its smoothness and translucence.

Healthy, beautiful skin thanks to micro-current.
Anti-ageing effects through stimulation by alternating current.

Acneless Super Gel

Acne is caused when natural oils secreted by sebaceous glands gets clogged up inside pores, allowing acne-causing bacteria to multiply and cause inflammation in the surrounding skin. Medicated Acneless Gel cleanses your skin and uses pionin (an antibacterial substance) to prevent bacteria which cause acne.

Plant extracts gentle on your skin help to keep it healthy.

Medicinal carbon and moisturizing plant extracts such as houttuynia cordata are combined to give you smooth, acne-free skin that is smooth but without an oily sheen.

Ci Water Spray Mist

Medicated Ci water uses marine collagen to facilitate its penetration into your skin in order to provide moisture replenishment. It can even be used effectively on top of makeup. Medicated Ci water helps reduce dryness and excessive oil production to allow makeup to go on more attractively, also a useful means of conditioning and tightening you skin.

Gently soothes sunburned skin.
